SEPN — Sustainable Ethical Payment Network
The formal name for the FORUS network — emphasising sustainability and ethics as architectural principles.
Definition
The Sustainable Ethical Payment Network (SEPN) is the formal name for the infrastructure FORUS is building. "Sustainable" means the economic model is self-reinforcing — value circulates rather than being extracted, and the Triple-20-60 distribution ensures long-term viability. "Ethical" means governance is transparent, access is inclusive, and digital asset participation is responsible. "Payment Network" understates the scope — SEPN is a full economic operating system encompassing payments, identity, governance, working capital, tokenization, and advertising. FORUS is Africa's on-ramp to the Finternet.
Country-specific infrastructure nodes that preserve national economic sovereignty and data custody.
The multi-rail interoperability layer connecting sovereign nodes, compliance frameworks, and cross-border settlement.
Revenue allocation formula: 20% FORUS Global, 20% development fund, 60% to channel partners.
Decentralised autonomous organisation governing protocol evolution, fund oversight, and stakeholder representation.
